Working as an activity assistant at Sycamore Assisted Living is a very rewarding experience because you will make a positive impact on resident’s lives by providing engaging, therapeutic activities.  It allows you to build meaningful relationships, use creativity, and gain experience in healthcare and caregiving. The job offers personal fulfillment through helping others and working in a supportive team environment.  Your main role is to organize and lead activities that help residents with memory loss stay engaged, active, and mentally stimulated.  In addition to leading activities, you’ll be working closely with the healthcare team, caregivers, and families to make sure the residents are getting the best care and attention. This collaborative environment can make the work feel very supportive and rewarding.

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
In collaboration with the Life Enrichment Director coordinates and implements scheduled activities for assigned area.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Ninety (90) hours of practical experience.
SKILLS: Ability to work independently and implement the planned activity for area. Ability to work cohesively with peers and other employees. Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Hours: 8:00-3:30pm

Scheduled days: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
