GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Food Service Manager, is responsible for waiting on customers and the cleanliness of the customer area within the framework of BCS policies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/SKILLS: Must be able to read and speak English. Must be able to make simple math calculations. Must be able to communicate effectively. Proficient in the operation of common kitchen equipment. Must have basic computer skills.
ESSENTIALS OF JOB:
1. All aspects of customer service. (constantly)
2. Communication skills – greet each customer respectfully, swiftly, and effectively with an honest, mindful, friendly, positive attitude. (constantly)
3. Register transactions – be proficient in computer skills: (constantly)
a. enter orders – take payment/tender change;
b. bookwork, i.e., deposits, daily cash reports; and
c. credit cards.
4. Phone etiquette/orders. (constantly)
5. Expedite orders to customers in a timely manner. (constantly)
6. Prepare front of house for daily operations. (constantly)
7. Clean, sanitize, organize, and maintain equipment. (constantly)
8. Notify Manager immediately with any concerns with overall operations of the department. (occasionally)
9. Must be able to commit the time necessary from an attendance and punctuality standpoint to accomplish the above specified Essentials of Job. (constantly)
