The Maintenance Mechanic oversees and adjusts HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and emergency backup systems while troubleshooting and resolving malfunctions. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment installation, and repairs (e.g., motors, pumps, piping, and electrical controls). The role requires minimal disruption to residents, adherence to safety regulations, and reporting supply shortages.  This is an hourly, non-exempt position requiring on-call and occasional weekend work.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The maintenance mechanic is responsible for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation and repairs of maintenance equipment including piping and controls located in the interior and exterior of all BCS buildings.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Prefer two years’ experience in the maintenance field.
SKILLS: Must be able to read, speak, and write English. Must be able to make simple math calculations. Must have and exhibit effective computer skills for company email, online job trainings, etc. Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to comply with the BCS Vehicle Use Policy, and maintain vehicle insurance equal to or greater than the Texas required minimum.

Location:  Park Central Retirement Community

Schedule:  Monday – Friday  8 am – 5 pm with required on-call.
