Scheduled Days: 5 days per week

Hours: 8 hours per day

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
In collaboration with the Director of Food Service, manages and evaluates services provided by the food service staff in a designated area, within the framework of BCS policies. Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulatory requirements in providing optimal services for customers.
ESSENTIALS OF JOB:
1. Manages and maintains all services provided by the food service staff in assigned area. (constantly)
2. Manages all staff under their supervision, including counseling, discipline, and scheduling. (constantly)
3. Is responsible for all areas of staff development and staff performance. (constantly)
4. Responsible for ordering and inventory of food and supplies, processing payments to vendors, preparing daily deposits, and building order guides. (constantly)
5. Proficient in use of software, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, order entry systems, reporting software, HRIS, and online learning management system. (occasionally)
6. Responsible for keeping expenses and revenue within budget. (constantly)
7. Oversee all responsibilities for vending. (constantly)
8. Must be able to commit the time necessary from an attendance and punctuality standpoint to accomplish the above specified Essential functions of job. (constantly)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent. Food Manager License. Must be able to read, speak and write English. Must be able to make simple math calculations. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be able to comply with the BCS Vehicle Use Policy.

PHYSICAL/SPECIAL DEMANDS:
1. Visual acuity to prepare and read menus, recipes and instructions.
2. Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs. or more with assistance, occasionally; 50 lbs., frequently; 25 lbs., constantly.
3. Must be able to position self to reach floor level to six feet from the floor.
4. Must be able to move throughout the facility.
5. Must be able to grasp, lift, hold, move, and position up to 50 lbs.
6. Must be able to push/pull up to 200 lbs.
7. Must have adequate hearing to respond to timers, phone orders, etc.
8. Must be able to exert 30-50 lbs. of force to push/pull stock cart.
9. Must be able to withstand exposure to loud, high activity area.
10. Must be able to withstand high temperatures, humidity, and extreme cold.
